SteamPunk Inspired

This is my entry to the Sunday Postcard Art challenge with the steampunk theme. First I like to show you the backgroung. The picture and text is from an old school book from the year 1923. The text is about steam machines. It´s coloured with Distress Inks.


And here is the card. I had a good time making it and I spent almost the whole sunday with this card! Hope you like it!
It´s made mainly with image transfer technique.

HYÖNTEISIÄ - INSECTS

Tässä muutama kuva steampunkahtavista hyönteisistä. Tosin silloin kun nämä on tehty, en ollut kuullutkaan mistään steampunkista. Tämä oli silloin kierrätystä! Öttiäiset ovat viitisen senttiä pitkiä ja tehty lasihelmistä, metallilangasta ja muttereista yms.

Here are some steampunkish insects. In fact I hadn´t even heard the word steampunk that time I made these. Recycling was the word! Insects are about 5cm and made of glasbeads, metalwire and nuts etc.

GOTHIC ARCHES CHALLENGE - STEAMPUNK

This was fun - I didn´t know how much steampunk we have at home! Do you recognize the ´arch´? It´s an used teabag! So, this is what I created for Gothic Arches´s steampunk-challenge.
