Hamppu on bambun tapaan luonnostaan antibakteerinen, eikä rupea haisemaan!
In the Christmas Fair Milja, in next table, was selling ecological - and beautiful - cleaning cloths, and self dyed eco-yarns, from which you can knit or crochet your own kitchen cloths.
I couldn´t resist the beautiful yarns and the first kitchen cloth crochetted from "grannysquares" is ready! The yarn is made from garment industry´s waste material, and contains 60% hemp and 40% cotton. Hemp, like bamboo is naturally antibacterial, and does not begin to smell!
Still busy working! I´m making items to sell in Women´s Christmas Fair in Helsinki in december 2.-6. (a traditional fair since 1922 - there are sold only handicrafts made by women) As you can see, my workdesk is not so bad - but the chaos is surrounding me :D And my orchids bloom!
Hi all! It has been a very busy week - and three more are ahead! So I´m still sorry that I have no time to visit your blogs! But here are my WOYWW pictures :)
Last week I started with the reflector tape - or in fact stripes of a reflector cloth. And you were wondering what was I doing with it. So here you can see the result! These are reflectors which you can hang to your coat or your bag when you go out during the dark time. They are compulsory here in Finland. However, these are outside from all the standards :D
First picture shows my desk as I left it last night. Then I took some pictures with flash, so you can see how the reflector works. And then a close-up!
Wednesday and new WOYWW! I have a new project with reflectors. Those gray stripes are reflector cloth. I´ll show you later what I´m doing with it - more bunnies, you know :) - but also cats and frogs. But you will see later!
In the other picture there are my bags, which are now almost ready. That last one on the top still needs something...
And I have to apologize that I have not much time to visit your blogs... but I try to make some visits!
Last week Pia brought me an old plastic button box, which her mother-in-law wanted to give to me. Big Thank for that! The buttons are always to the need but the box itself also persuaded to do something... and here you can see the transformation: pictures before and after!
Time to WOYWW again! More bunnies, but bags this time. These are going to Galleria Karaija, when finished. In these bags I have used small tablecloths and other laces I have found from flea markets. First bag is now on my desk and other nine are waiting behind my back...
And... what a great surprise when I looked my blog this morning... I´ve got a message from Bleubeard and Elizabeth. She (they) has chosen my blog as "Today´s blog"! What a honour! Please, visit Elizabeth, too! There are wonderful projects on her blog ´Altered Book Lover´ - and meet the absolutely gorgeous Bleubeard!
Today my workdesk looks like this! All bunnies and frogs have left home! I´ll put here also the last group-photo... Now I have been working with two cards to an altered playing card deco. You can see those cards on my desk, but I will post better pictures of them, too! Thanks for visiting! Have a nice WOYWW day!
