Last Christmas cards made! I have used a photoshopped old pic as an angel.

Viimeiset joulukortit tehty! Olen käyttänyt photoshopattua vanhaa valokuvaa enkelinä.

I have moved my craft supplies to another room. In fact to my daughter´s room, but she´s not living here anymore. Although a lot of her belongings are still here... But now I have a place for my paper crafts and another place for sewing supplies.

Olen siirtänyt askartelutarvikkeitani toiseen huoneeseen. Itse asiassa tyttären huoneeseen, mutta hän ei asu enää täällä. Tosin hänen tavaroitaan on täällä vielä aika paljon... Mutta nyt minulla on paikka paperiaskarteluille ja toinen paikka ompelutarvikkeille.

Also the cash register, which I´ve got from Sisko, got a good place. Tapes and glues in it.

Myös Siskolta saatu kassakone sai nyt hyvän paikan. Sisältää teipit ja liimat.

This pigeonhole got my ATCs. You can also see there the HangAbout I got from Jo some years ago as a birthday present. It has been very useful!

Lokerikko sai ATCt. Kuvassa etualalla näkyy myös HangAbout pussukka, jonka sain Jo´lta muutama vuosi sitten syntymäpäivälahjaksi. Erittäin kätevä!

I carved an own snowman stamp :) It is a basic snowman without any hat, hands or face - I can now easily draw different kind of snowmen to the stamped basis.

Kaiversin oman lumiukkoleimasimen :)  Se on perus lumiukko ilman hattua, käsiä tai naamaa - voin helposti piirtää erilaisia lumiukkoja leimatulle pohjalle.

WOYWW #175

Two different desks this time... The first one is my own this morning. There are my new Dylusions ink sprays and stencils, with which I made some experiments. Love them - especially the stencils! Colours are beautiful, too.

 This other pic is from my art journal course last night. We used magazine pictures to make collages.

Have been away from the Blogland for a while! It seems that I always on Wednesdays have something to do or somewhere to go.
My art journal course have started and now we are colouring the pages - and I always forget to take pics... next time, I promise!

WOYWW #171 - good news

It´s Wednesday and time for WOYWW on Julia´s Stamping Ground!
On my messy desk you can see a spread from my art journal calendar for next year - 2013. Here are weeks 17 and 18 with kind of mermaids.  I have an obsession for those frames... I made the black highlights (on the white stripe) with an old pen and calligraphy ink.

And the good news... Now there are enough participants to start the art journal course I told you last week!!! It will start next Tuesday - and I´m so excited!

WOYWW #170 - page preparations

Almost forgot that it´s Wednesday - again! And Wednesday means, of course,WOYWW on Julia´s Stamping Ground!
I´ve been marketing my art journal class. It´s supposed to begin next week, but some participants still needed... We are going to mix altered book and art journal techniques. But I´m afraid, many here have never even heard about art journal! Too bad, because it´s so fun!
I´m now prepairing my own calendar book pages. On the floor - there is more space :)
I tried to mix gouache colours with gesso - works well!

EDIT!!!! The course I am talking about takes place here in Järvenpää - so it´s not a web course. Maybe some day...

...ainakin kalenterin mukaan! Myös Koukussa Kortteihin sivuston Inspiraation Lähteillä, eli tuttavallisemmin "Inspis" haaste on palannut kesätauolta. Aiheena on "Miltä nyt tuntuu" eli mietteitä kesän kääntymisestä syksyyn...
Tämä on minun mallikorttini aiheesta. John Fogertyn - jota olin kesällä kuuntelemassa Järvenpään Puistobluesissa - teksti "Who´ll stop the rain". Haasteessa tehdään ATC-kortteja, jotka lähetetään minulle arvontaan. Palautuspostissa saa sitten jonkun toisen tekemän kortin. Myös minun korttini osallistuu arvontaan!

Hi every one! I´ve lost some weeks of WOYWW, but now I´m back again. But nothing has changed... I need a bigger desk - or another desk... or room :P
I have a couple of new ideas for sewing, but my machine is somewhere under the stamping stuff! And now I started to make an art journal calendar for next year... Here are the pages for weeks 5 & 6.

DT-kortti

Tämä kortti on tehty Koukussa Kortteihin haasteen DT-työnä. Aiheena oli "lempivärit". Minun kohdallani se oikeastaan tarkoittaa lempisävyjä, koska pidän kyllä kaikista väreistä... joku sini-keltainen kortti ehkä jäisi viimeiseksi...
Kiinalainen poika on Tumble Fish Studion kuva-arkilta ja vihreä paperi 7gypsies´n Gypsy Market paperikosta. Punainen taustapaperi on itse tehty akryyliväreillä, rub on väreillä ja Distress Inkillä.

WOYWW #165 - greetings from flea markets

Hello all WOYWWers and others too!
Today I have a couple of flea market finds to show you. First a tin box - a tea box, which was far too bright for me. So I painted it with blackboard paint and put an image transfer of Tumble Fish Studio´s elefphant on it... and I can write on it with chalk! And it definitely is not bright anymore :)

And then an other flea market find from last Wednesday. Rubbers, which you can put on your shoes! They are old, but looks like brand new - and they were cheap :)

WOYWW #164

A dramatic beginning for this week: on Monday morning I had to call an ambulance for my DH... but everything is now OK! My hubby is fine and also I am slowly recovering :)

I also visited a dear friend of mine, and got some fabric scraps from her - those which are on the left in the pic. There are also some buttons I bought a while ago  (those white ones are old...).

And then I have some BIG wooden reels...

...and (mostly) found objects...

And now I need a good idea :) Maybe something like this:

WOYWW #163 - what a week...

What has happened after last Wednesday? Nothing on my workdesk, as you can see from the pic below.
Last week my DD2 came for a two-day-visit and left on friday. Friday night my DD1 called me and told that Olivia has got a tummy bug. And as always in these cases, the timing was perfect: Her DH had just left for a few days trip and was coming back on Sunday evening! So, on Saturday morning I went there to help them for some hours... and on Sunday evening I got the same disease! 
Don´t know much about the Monday... Tuesday was much better, and now I feel... hmm... as normal as possible ;)
But, after all, here you have an "artistic" pic of my desk ;)

WOYWW #162

Hi again! I´ve been on summer vacation ;)  And what have I done... seen John Fogerty playing at Lakeside Blues Festival here in Järvenpää. Love his music! Also been with my Graddaugter Olivia, who´s now 11 months. And - slowly - making some new dolls...

Here´s my yesterday´s project: a vine trellis for my pipevine. The vine was cut down when we had the exterior wall renovation last autumn, but is now starting to grow again. It took me the whole day to make the trellis: first I had to buy the supplies, then put it together and paint it... first one side, when it was dry, the other side - and then the same again. Now it´s waiting for my DH to come home so that we can put it on its place.

WOYWW #159

Hi all! I missed last week because of our trip to Stockholm. But is it really already wednesday - what happened to monday and tuesday...
Yes, it is wednesday and time for WOYWW on Julia´s Stamping Ground!

Well, yesterday I spent travelling with my DD1 and little Olivia. We went to plant flowers on the grave of my parents. First by train and then by bus - about 100 kilometers in one direction - so it took the whole day!


Here are some shoppings from Stockholm - I also bought new jeans with 50% discount :)
