NEVER ENDING CARD

This is a never ending card - with an end - I made for Koukussa Kortteihin challenge.
I have used Tim Holtz`s lost and found papers and the texts are from the novel "Ring for Jeeves". The gentleman is from my family album.

WOYWW #106

Last week was very warm - about 30°C - and this week is again quite chilly and rainy. So I have continued my art journal altered book. Here you see a spread where I practised grunge background. It looks quite pale here, but there are tones you can´t see in the pic - believe me, it´s better than it looks...! ;)
Text is quotes from a Finnish book by Leena Krohn: "Tainaron - letters from another town."

Yesterday I also got the new printer - look posting below - but it´s still in package. I´m using the old one... :)

MAANANTAIAAMUN IHME - MONDAY MORNING MIRACLE

Kaikki alkoi viime viikolla, kun vaihdoin printteriin uudet musteet. Koko kone sammui, eikä suostunut käynnistymään uudelleen. Kokeilin joka nappulaa, irroitin kaikki johdot ja liitin uudelleen - ei mitään elonmerkkiä!
Lopulta päätin ostaa uuden printterin. Niitähän saa halvalla - juuri ostetut musteet harmittivat eniten! Enää ei löytynyt uutta printteriäkään, mihin vanhat musteet olisivat sopineet!
No, tänään aamulla jyrähti ukkonen sellaisella voimalla ja niin lähellä, että vedin seinästä pistokkeen, jonka takana on tietokone kaikkine lisälaitteineen... ja kun jonkin ajan päästä pistin taas töpselin seinään, niin eikö se hemmetin printteri herännyt henkiin...

All began last week, when I changed new inks to my printer. The machine went out and refused to restart. I tried every button, removed the wires and reconnected them - no sign of life!
At last I decided to buy a new printer. They are quite cheap - I was most annoyed that I had just bought new inks! And I couldn´t find a new printer, which would be working with the old inks!
So, this morning here was such a loud thunderclap that I unplugged the whole computer with all its accessories... and when I, after a while, again put the plug to the wall, that damn printer woke up alive...

Yes, I know... didn´t have much time to visit your blogs last week... sorry!

But I want to show you how the yellow spread from my art journal book looks today.
And then I have a postcard size "bird"... again copied from Teesha Moore. I liked these birds she had made - but somehow this became more a harpy!

WOYWW #104 - Happy Anniversary!

Hello WOYWWers! We have a warm and beautiful day here in southern Finland and that´s why I have an outdoor "workdesk" today!

I also started an altered book - kind of art journal inspired by Teesha Moore. I have shamelessly copied her style while I´m seeking my own... :) It´s a kind of diary and contains such personal things, that I have blurred one spread! (there MAY be someone who understands finnish...)

KOLLAASIKORTTI - COLLAGE CARD

Tämä on Koukussa Kortteihin DT-kortti. Haasteena oli käyttää eläintä keskeisessä osassa kortissa. No, tämä on vompatti, kaikesta huolimatta!

This is a DT-card for Koukussa Kortteihin. The challenge was to use an animal in principal role. So, this is a wombat, after all!

I DID IT MY WAY...

Tätä en todellakaan osaa - ja silti teen - tinaamista! Onhan siinä tuollaisena oma fiiliksensä - ja hei, se on taidetta...
Siksipä annoin sille nimen "I did it my way" ja tämä on sitten se Sid Vicious-versio! ;)

This is something I really can´t do - and am still doing - soldering! But it has it´s own feeling - and hey, it´s art...
So I named it "I did it my way" and yes, this is the Sid Vicious-version! ;)

Unohtui mainita, että kuvassa on saman riipuksen etu- ja takapuoli. Lasit ovat Rangerin Memory glassit ja korkeus on noin 7,5 cm.

I forgot to tell that these are the front and back of the same charm. I have used Ranger´s Memory glass.

Strange Little People

Rick St.Dennis at Collage Obsession Challenge gave us an old photo of two children and the theme "Strange Little People".

I have used my own drawing of an eye - which I have then altered digitally - and the text is (again) from CCR´s "Bad Moon Rising" (by John Fogerty). So here you have my entry...

WOYWW 99 - FOUND OBJECTS

I´m back in the WOYWW and making ATCs of lost-and-found objects. That background is a magazine I have had to protect my desk - and now there are layers of different kinds of glues and inks... I think I´m gonna use it too...
